Rev Andrew Bellous - Bio

Andrew came to faith at a young age, baptized when he was eight years old at Calvary Baptist Church in Weyburn, SK. He grew up the son of a pastor, and it simply seemed natural to him to follow in the footsteps of Jesus within the context of a Baptist Congregation.

As he attended school, Andrew taught Sunday School and was a Camp Counselor at Gull Lake Baptist Camp. He was a key member of his youth group and led worship. Upon graduation, he attended the Baptist Leadership Training School in Calgary, and spent two months touring with the School Choir and Tour Team throughout Western Canada.

Andrew moved to Ontario as he began his Bachelor's degree at McMaster University in Classics: Archaeology and History. He was involved in Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship at McMaster and led weekly worship services, as well as the monthly 'Church at the John' event at a local campus bar, which regularly saw more than 800 students in attendance.

Following university, Andrew worked for a time in personal finance, advising clients in matters of investment, insurance and debt reduction. At this time Andrew was a Deacon at Mount Hamilton Baptist Church.

Andrew then studied at McMaster Divinity College for his Master of Divinity Degree. Andrew married his wife, Monica, and celebrated the arrival of their first child, Susannah, as Andrew began ministry at First Baptist Church in Pembroke. Andrew continued his ministry at First Baptist Church in Guelph as Associate Pastor of Worship and Inter-generational ministry, welcoming their second child, Rosalie.

Andrew spent several years working for an Audio Visual company that designed and implemented Audio, Video and Lighting systems, as well as Integrated computer systems that tied these technologies together. Andrew was involved in creating 'Smart Classrooms' at Emmanuel Bible College and the re-design of McMaster Divinity College's classroom presentation systems and distance-education suites.

Andrew began his ministry at FBC Woodstock in May of 2019. Andrew is looking forward to walking with the congregation of FBC Woodstock as we explore what God has in store for us.
