Leadership

Rev Andrew Bellous - Pastor

Pastor Andrew leads our services, preaching from the Bible and praying for the congregation. He also plays with the Worship Team, playing contemporary music with a worship band incorporating guitar, keyboard and drums.

Andrew believes in the value of visitation and small groups. Sunday mornings are important, but our lives of faith need to extend into the community as we develop friendships based on faith and speak into each other's lives. Church is about more than what happens in the walls of the church building. A healthy church is one in which we care for each other and about each other.

Michelle Heron-Gear - Music Director

Michelle Heron-Gear is our Music Director. She has led worship at a number of churches in Southern Ontario and we are pleased to welcome her home as she returns to the congregation where she grew up. Her skill on the piano lifts our hearts each Sunday morning as we enjoy her musical leadership.

Christian Development Board

The Christian Development Board is responsible for the spiritual growth of members through Sunday School, Nursery and Adult Sunday School. They also organize social events such as potlucks or picnics.

The Adelaide Soup Bowl

During the colder months of the year, First Baptist hosts the Adelaide Soup bowl. A variety of congregations throughout the city come together at our church building to reach out to members of the community in need. Anyone may enjoy a hot, nutritious lunch Mondays and Fridays at Noon from October to April.

The Table

We host students from local high schools each Tuesday throughout the school year for a meal made from scratch. We partner with YFC Woodstock whose volunteers welcome students to play games, converse and enjoy healthy food.
